I wish Top Gear were more like TG: Cars of The People. Or just nix Top Gear and let James May keep talking about neat cars. Yarp, that'll do. It wouldn't do great ratings, but I'd love it.

I'm convinced that James May is one of the best factual television presenters of all time.

I enjoy all the Top Gear hosts, but I can't see Clarkson carrying a whole show like James does. Richard can do a decent job of it, but he can't hold a candle to James. I could watch James May talk about things forever.

You should watch his DVDs especially The good, The bad and The ugly as an owner of an American car I believe this will be right up your street.

I agree.

I think Clarkson and Hammond are more about spectacle than substance. They can say a lot but tell you nothing.

gotta have the big top gear series so they can do the off season specials

suggest you check you the rest of James Mays work, Man Lab and his series on toys are both excellent

Yeah, big TG pays the bills I guess.

I'm not eager to admit it, but Man Lab and the other show put me to sleep. I'd really rather watch May talk about cars.
